We knew this would be a tough, and physical game against a Sheffield United team we've played previously.
It took a while for the gears to turn this morning with our girls after a couple of recent games where we were first out of the blocks.
Alice and Kasia, sharing goalkeeping duties this morning both made some great saves and we had our own chances throughout the game in spells of our own.
We probably had to do a little more defending to do than we wanted to, but everyone was solid in their tackles and didn't stop chasing loose balls.
Our midfield fought for the ball and when in possession, were constantly looking to play the right pass and our strikers this morning didn't stop.
I couldn't ask for more but sometimes we don't always get the run of the ball and we learn much more from these types of games to help with our development.
Our 'Player of the Game' this weekend was Myla. Her determination, strength and creativity going forward was great to see. Myla will always try her best in training and during matches and so was a well deserved winner this week.
Well done everyone.
