Rotherham Whitehill Girls U13s (0) v Charnock Girls U13 Reds (0)
With no games or training for a month, and short on our regular keeper, it was all about the girls working hard, encouraging one another, and the main instruction was to enjoy and have fun.
The team looked a lot more relaxed as there was no pressure which I felt helped them. It was a great team effort. Was a good game to watch with both teams evenly matched and both teams had chances. I think the result was the right one for both teams.
Chloe C, Amber and Isabel P have a special mention for putting the team first and being willing to go in net even though they would prefer not to. They all did amazing and it didn't faze them at all.
A few contenders for Player of the Match, but for her willingness to put the team first, her leadership as captain, the encouragement she gives everyone and to top it all off the ability to play to a very high standard as an individual whilst also concentrating on supporting others, it’s well deserved to go to Isabel P. Week in week out she puts 100% in training and games and is an absolute pleasure to coach so well done.
This was a real team effort and the girls were buzzing after the match, they were also happy with their performance. As I always say there is no 'I' in team. Very proud of them all.
